If you are 65 or older and have lived in the United States for 20 years or more you are eligible for the special test that only contains 20 questions

How seniors can take the test in their own language

You can take the citizenship test in your own language if meet one of these requirements:

Your Age: Lived as a permanent resident in the U.S. for: Applicant must take the:
Age 50 and older At least 20 years Civics test (100 study questions) in your language of choice
Age 55 and older At least 15 years Civics test (100 study questions) in your language of choice
Age 65 and older At least 20 years Civics test with only 20 study questions in your language of choice

It does not matter when you applied for US citizenship. You can use the new version of the test with 20 questions and answers. The USCIS officer will ask you up to 10 civics questions during your interview. You must answer 6 questions correctly to pass this part of the test.
